I recently noticed gravity getting a foot hold on my neck. Then I heard a plastic surgeon say that's the no. 1 complaint and they can do a localized dr office suture to tighten it. I never thought I'd even vaguely consider a cosmetic procedure, but suddenly...well who knows.

I can't say enough kind things about crocs. For years, I had a chronic problem on the bottom of my right foot, bunion, callous, corn, whatever, the darned spot would thicken, on the lower, wide part of my foot, where most of the pressure goes when walking, even more so when running. About every two or three weeks I would spend an hour or so soaking the darned thing off.
In 2005 I went with a group to Paraguay. We were warned that because we would be on farms in Paraguay, when we came back through US customs, we would be required to spend a couple of hours while our footwear was "decontaminated" and we would very likely miss our connecting flights. Several of us decided we would just leave our contaminated shoes in Miami for customs to deal with, and we would don never-worn-in-Paraguay footwear to continue our trips home. So I bought a pair of cheap black crocs that I could leave behind in Miami.
After a couple of days being at home, it dawned on me that although I had been gone two-plus weeks, and walked miles and miles, the troublesome spot on my foot was gone, totally gone.
I couldn't get to the shoe store fast enough. I now have three pairs of crocs, and have only recently gone back to my hard-soled shoes, at least part-time.

Thanks, Jack! And here's a mini-WiP Report. Last Thursday I reached midpoint of my novel. Somehow I managed to make the first story arc 25,888 words long and the second 25,886. How's that for symmetry? Today I plan on starting the second half of the book. Best, Juliet

You're preaching to the choir with me. One idea to consider, participate in a group blog rather than an individual effort. It is easier to sustain although it does take time to read and comment on what others on the blog write.
